Volunteer

Volunteering with the Conservancy is a great way for you to get involved, get out in nature, meet new friends, build your resumé, share a skill, have fun, or learn something new – all while helping to protect local lands. 

Here are some ways you can help:

• Become a Volunteer Ambassador - Bring the Conservancy’s display to local community events.  We’ll provide you with the necessary training to spread the word about the work we do.
 
• Participate in a Stewardship Workday - Help clear trails or remove invasive species at our nature preserves.
• Join the Photomonitoring Squad - Help the Conservancy monitor easements by visiting properties and taking pictures on our protected lands.
• Become a Preserve Adopter - Assist with regular maintenance of one of our five nature preserves. The activities you can choose to do at your favorite preserve are limited only by the needs of the preserve and your interests.
• Join our event planning committee
• Volunteering at our events - You can help in numerous capacities, from assisting with set-up and clean-up, to greeting and serving guests.
• Display or distribute our brochures
• Photograph our events and our protected lands
- We love to document our events as well as the lands we’re protecting.  We can use your help capturing these important moments and places.
• Share your skills - Have special skills to offer? We can use your time and talents.  If you’re skilled in web design, graphic design, construction, a construction trade, or have another valuable area of expertise, we’d love your help!
• Join a mailing crew - Join us for one of our fun and informal mailing parties to help with this important function.
• Provide clerical help at our office
