Stop by the Bivouac or go online and cast your vote for the environment. Legacy Land Conservancy has been chosen as one of three local environmental groups for this contest: If the Conservancy gets the most votes, then the Conservancy will win a $1,000 donation on behalf of Bivouac and Patagonia. Hurry, voting ends on Saturday October 24!
When you cast your vote, you’ll be entered into a drawing to win a $1,000 Patagonia shopping spree at The Bivouac. The drawing will take place after all the votes are tallied on October 25.
Simply visit the Bivouac store or go online to vote.

If you decide to vote at the Bivouac store, bring your worn out Patagonia clothing to be recycled. Through Patagonia’s Common Threads Recycling Program, Bivouac can take back your old Capilene®, Patagonia fleece and Polartec® fleece from other companies, Patagonia merino wool baselayers, Patagonia cotton t-shirts and any other Patagonia product with a Common Threads Recycling Program logo on the care and content tag. BIVOUAC ENVIRONMENTAL GRANT AND GIVEAWAY
OFFICIAL RULES
BUYING WILL NOT HELP YOU WIN. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR ODDS OF WINNING.
1. ELIGIBILITY/ODDS OF WINNING|
Bivouac of Ann Arbor (“Bivouac”) is sponsoring an environmental grant and giveaway (the “Grant Program and Giveaway”), offered to participants who are residents of Michigan and at least 18 years old who complete an entry blank. No purchase is necessary. Limit of one vote per person. Void where prohibited. The odds of winning depend on the number of votes received. Employees and directors of Bivouac and immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, daughter or son, regardless of where they live) or members of their same households (whether related or not) of such employees are not eligible. By entering, you agree to these Official Rules and the decisions of Bivouac, which are final and binding in all respects. The value of the grant to the environmental organization is $1,000 and the value of the prize to be given away is $1,000.
2. HOW TO ENTER/HOW PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED
The Grant Program and Giveaway will begin October 16, 2009. Participants may stop by Bivouac or go online and cast a vote for one of the following organizations to receive a grant of $1,000: Ecology Center of Ann Arbor, Legacy Land Conservancy, or Huron River Watershed Council. Votes must be cast by October 24, 2009. On October 25, 2009 the environmental group receiving the most votes will be announced and a check will be issued by Bivouac in the amount of $1,000 to that group.
When votes are cast, participants will be entered to win a $1,000 Patagonia shopping spree at Bivouac. The winner will be selected by random drawing of all entries received on October 25, 2009. Only Patagonia products may be selected, subject to stock on hand. Patagonia shoes are not included. The Winner will be notified by email and/or telephone within three (3) days. Winner does not need to be present to win. Prize may not be exchanged for cash or any other consideration. Winner must claim the prize and shop within five (5) days or another winner will be selected.
3. PRIVACY
Entry information obtained from you will be used for the purpose of allowing your participation in the Grant Program and Giveaway, to email and/or call the winner, and to inform you of other Bivouac sweepstakes, promotions, or sales events, and for purposes of mailing catalogs or other promotional materials. You may have your name removed from this list by contacting Bivouac at the address at the end of these Official Rules. We will use reasonable commercial efforts to safeguard the personal information you provide.
4. GENERAL CONDITIONS
By entering this Grant Program and Giveaway, you agree that if you win the $1,000 prize, Bivouac has the right to print, publish, broadcast and use, in any media, including but not limited to the worldwide web, at any time or times, your name, portrait, picture, voice, and likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration.
We reserve the right, in our sole discretion, to disqualify any individual we find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Grant Program and Giveaway; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules; or to be acting in a non-sportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person.
5. WINNER LIST; OFFICIAL RULES
To receive the name of the winner, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Prize Winner, Bivouac, 336 South State Street, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48104. Mail-in requests for the name of the Winner must be received by Bivouac not later than February 1, 2010. Sponsored by: Bivouac at the same address.
